Definition tells us a puppet is a small figure of a person operated from above with strings by a puppeteer. Ironically, a person who is controlled by others and is used to perform unpleasant or dishonest tasks for someone is also referred to as a puppet. This is not to discourage buying of puppets. Instead you have the freedom to choose from 1000s of varieties plus the mechanized varieties. Not to mention the thrill you give your child wandering through the toy store.
